The House of Joy and Mercy

The House of Joy and Mercy is situated in a beautiful site with a spacious gallery. The doghouse and the courtyard are situated on the same axis, creating a perpetual breeze. Its outdoor areas contain many varieties of plants, creating a natural environment and providing space for the animals to play. The courtyard allows prospective owners and pets to interact, encouraging those who are looking to adopt to visit the pets in person. The doghouse is not only a shelter, but is also a space for pets to feel safe and comfortable, using glass panes as dividers to provide natural light.

Architect of LAAB will be introducing the space and how it satisfies the aesthetic needs of both humans and dogs, and telling the story of how the House of Joy and Mercy revitalised an abandoned brownfield site in Yuen Long to become a safe space for abandoned animals. Visitors will even get to visit the pets!
