Stewards High Rock Centre

Stewards High Rock Centre (SHRC) formerly served as the site of the Sha Tin Police Station and was built in 1924. Its red-brick exterior is a staple of colonial architecture. Situated on a small hill, the site overlooks the surrounding areas of Sha Tin, providing a strategic military advantage. The building served many different purposes, such as a childcare centre and as a school. In 1984, Stewards Hong Kong took ownership of the site. Since then, it has served both locals and overseas visitors as a campsite and as a retreat site. The Stewards High Rock Centre was classified as a Grade II historic building in 2010, and remains rich in history, spirituality and culture.
